Starting July 8, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will officially require electronic compliance filing (eFiling) for regulated consumer products.
Importers must submit the required compliance information before cargo arrives in the United States.
Failure to comply may result in shipment holds, inspections, delays, or penalties. Products commonly affected include children’s products, apparel, furniture, home goods, lighting, electronics, and certain household items.
At the same time, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has increased its review of Importer/Shipper Bonds. Many bonds have recently been suspended or terminated due to incomplete business information or compliance issues, making it more important than ever to ensure your import documentation is accurate and compliant.
RYP USA Group is a licensed and compliant U.S. customs brokerage partner. We can assist with Importer/Shipper Bond applications, customs clearance, and import compliance to help keep your shipments moving smoothly.
